Driving has only been permitted in the canton of Graubünden since 1925. The late start has long since been made up for, and today the people of Graubünden own more cars per capita than the rest of Switzerland. Over the past 100 years, the car has accelerated the modern mountain world and completely changed everyday life and tourism in Graubünden. Our special exhibition tells of road construction and excursions, of racing fever, post bus drivers, farmers and transporters. Look forward to a journey full of pictures and vehicles, close to the people and their personal machine, the automobile.
